Science..............

As I was sure and even thought that science is the extension of philosophy or philosophy with logic is science. I put my view in front of one of my university professor. He immediately corrected me and said that, it appears to me so because of the paradigm. I am not fully aware of the concept of philosophy it is the half knowledge that is making me to think this way.

Philosophy and science are not two but one. It is now that we see these as two, and put demarcations. Similarly one branch of science cannot be distinguished from another, as science is science. For our convenience though we may divide it into, pure or applied, basic or life...... When a scientist work for some principle, he has no limits to confine his thoughts... free thought is the only rational behind science. While working on some problem all fields appear to merge, everything appears to be correlated, interrelated hence no boundaries work. Yes, we see limitations but those are the limitations not of nature but limitations in our perception. As you let your mind open and let the thoughts to flow, we see that physics is no different than chemistry, and chemistry is all but in biology.

Then how come these demarcations exist between these branches? What is the difference between a physicist and biologist? I read from a book that the only difference is in the approach. A biologist deals everything in so tiny details and try to understand in pieces where as a physician look at things in totality. A biologist try to find the link and physicist already assume there is link. So it is like one is looking from outside the egg and other from inside the egg.

Keeping this in mind I have learnt so far that free mind is the key towards advancement, enlightenment...

As in the words of Sri Rabindranath Tagore:

Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high
Where knowledge is free
Where the world has not been broken up into fragments
By narrow domestic walls
Where words come out from the depth of truth
Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection
Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way
Into the dreary desert sand of dead habit
Where the mind is led forward by thee
Into ever-widening thought and action
Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake.
--- Rabindranath Tagore, Gitanjali

To conclude, I will only say that our country can only progress if youth is given time to think
what is he/she doing?
why he/she is doing this?
Rather the training a mere manpower to carry the burden of prejudices, we need free spirits who enlighten the human race.......

Hmm.that all for today.............

Yes your thoughts are honest. May be I too think like that. However, without traininh how we will secure Ph.D. Become employable. From training itself some passion to carry forward this idealism should occur.
